Students must be present in the designated exam room at least 10 minutes before the exam starts. Proctors are authorized and responsible for arranging the seating. Students who take the exam in the wrong room or outside of their assigned class will have their exam invalidated and will not be granted a make-up exam.

Students are required to write their full name and student ID number on the exam paper at the beginning of the exam and sign it.

Students must bring their student ID cards and keep them visible on the desk throughout the exam. IDs must be out of wallets and clearly visible to the proctor. Students without ID will not be admitted to the exam.

Proctors may change students’ seating positions before or during the exam if necessary.

Students must sign the Exam Attendance Sheet at the beginning of the exam. Those who sign it are obliged to submit an exam paper.

During the exam, students may not ask questions to the instructor except for possible printing or wording errorsin the exam questions.

Students are not allowed to leave the exam room during the first 15 minutes of the exam.

No student is allowed to remain alone in the exam room. If only two students remain, both must stay until they finish and submit their exams.

Students are expected to arrive before the exam starts, but in the case of a valid excuse, those arriving within the first 15 minutes may be admitted. However, no extra time will be given. If a student leaves the exam room for any reason, even within the first 15 minutes, they cannot be readmitted.

Students present in the room when the exam questions are distributed are considered to have taken the exam. Therefore, students should make their decision before the distribution of the questions.

Once a student has seen the questions, they may not leave without signing the attendance sheet and submitting their exam paper.

Mobile phones must be switched off and left in a place determined by the proctor. Even if turned off, phones must not be kept on or near the student. Possession of earphones, smartwatches, tablets, Bluetooth devices, sound recorders, or any other electronic communication devices is strictly prohibited.

Students may drink water during the exam, but eating is not allowed.

After submitting their exam materials, students must leave the exam room without returning to their seats. Requests such as "I forgot my bag/book/jacket" will not be accepted until the exam ends.

Students are responsible for any unauthorized writing or materials on or around their desks, including under the desk. Students should check their desks before the exam and inform the proctor if anything suspicious is found.

Exams of students who fail to write their names on the paper or fail to sign the attendance sheet will be considered invalid.

Each student is responsible for the security of their own exam paper until leaving the exam room. Students must ensure that their papers are not visible to others.

After finishing the exam, students may not wait in the hallway, enter other exam rooms, or communicate in any way with students still taking exams.

Students may only bring materials explicitly allowed for the exam (e.g., a calculator, if permitted). Unauthorized items like notebooks, books, or dictionaries must be placed away from the desk (e.g., on the floor or a radiator), and not left on or near the student’s seat.

Proctors may report students who violate exam rules, disrupt order, delay the exam, insult staff, leave without permission, or reject instructions. These students will be subject to disciplinary procedures.

Cheating or attempting to cheat is strictly forbidden. According to Article 54 of the Turkish Higher Education Law No. 2547:

Students who cheat or help others cheat receive a one-semester suspension from the university.

Attempting to cheat results in suspension from one week to one month.

Students who take an exam on behalf of another or have someone else take their place will receive a two-semester suspension.

All exams taken during the suspension period will be considered invalid, including the one in which the misconduct occurred.

Talking or asking for items such as pens or erasers from other students during the exam is prohibited. Proctors will consider such actions as attempted cheating and take disciplinary action.

Students must sit upright and not look around during the exam. Proctors may warn students regarding their posture or behavior. Repeated disregard for these warnings will be treated as a cheating attempt.
